Build Organically-Listed Web Traffic Networks With My "Tentacle System".
If you want to build a website, or are having trouble getting decent traffic to your current site--this will be useful for you.
This quick strategy is one you can develop "on-the-fly", using free web-based tools and a little bit of elbow-grease.
I'm going to run through an example of this approach, and may put together a more detailed, exploded-view of this, in case you need more step-by-step instructions, in the near future.
What I am going to show you is what I call the "Tentacle System" and I suggest you download the PDF blueprint (at no cost) now.
This will be your visual guide for what I am going to discuss with you in a moment.

Here's the idea:
Imagine you want to create a weight loss resources site, for women. Weight loss, Diet, Lose Weight--these are "Big Keywords"--very competitive and expensive words for PPC marketing. But, the market is huge, and lots of money is spent here.
The question is: how do you get a piece of a Big Market (or Big Keyword Market ) without going belly-up on PPC?
My suggestion is, what I call, the "Tentacle Strategy"(TS).
In the TS, you have a main site, which is going to be your "Showcase Site", which also happens to be a Big Keyword Site (BKS), too.
For our example, we'll say the BKS is "Weight Loss for Women" as your keyword --and being your Showcase Site, this site will eventually have a ton of resources, program, affiliate products, Adsense...whatever you are using to monetize your site. But, this is your "main site".
Step One: Draw a rectangle on the middle of a sheet of paper, and label it with your Big Keyword.
For this example, my site will be "BKS: Weight Loss for Women". Your site center site will be whatever keyword phrase you are building your Tentacle Sites around--so just follow the example I've given you in your blueprint.
Now, brainstorm all kinds of related topics, that you believe women looking to lose weight might consider relevant to weight loss, health or beauty.
So go ahead, and make your list of related topics.
Note: If you own a research tool, like Market Samurai, now would be a great time to buckle down and use its many features for harvesting related-site topics. If you don't own it, you can try their 40 day free trial, which can be enough time to get profitable on your Tentacle Sites.
For example:
My BKS is "Weight Loss for Women", but related topic might include:
- low carb diets
- calorie counting resources
- calorie shifiting diet plans
- vegetarian cooking
- cardiovascular exercise
- yoga
- stretching
- skin care tips
- dietary supplements
etc..
Once you have your ideas down, do some keyword research (KWR) to determine which of these sub-topics get daily traffic of 200 visitors, or more, per day.
Helpful tip: If you find some particularly popular keyword phrases, break them out to more specific sub-topics and check for niches within those phrases. For example, you may find that "low carb diets" gets a lot of traffic. If so, get more specific and drill deeper into the niche--possibly looking for "low carb diets for busy moms", or "low carb diets for flight attendants"--you can repeat this process until your traffic numbers drop below acceptable levels, as I'll address in a minute.
Regarding Keyword Research (KWR) a free tool I recommend is Gtrends it shows you how many searches a KW gets per day, BUT...it also shows you how much competition that exact keyword has, from a search-engine perspective.
Basically, with GTrends, if you find a KW with "traffic" of 200+ searches per day, that has fewer than 30,000 pages indexed in Google with that exact KW phrase, you stand a good chance of getting on page one of Google's "organic" search listings (position 1-10 on the main page), with some minimal effort. Organic traffic is free traffic, but you need your site to be placed on page one of Google, preferably in position one or two.
How to do that will be another topic, but it basically involves getting a few tightly grouped articles circulating around a KW you've identified that can become its own website.
Once you've whittled down your "brainstorm list", by putting it to the Gtrends test, you may find that you're left with 5-7 "viable" keyword phrases.
For a brief example of this, let's say you came up with three viable Tentacle Site phrases:
- "How To Get Slimmer Thighs"
- "Eating Low Carb While Traveling"
- "Downloadable Calorie Counters for Cell Phones"
- (You'd likely find more site names, but I'll just show you three for now...)
Step 2: Around your BKS (at the center of the blueprint page), create as many smaller rectangles around your BKS as you have relevant keyword phrases that get 200+visitors per day, with preferably fewer than 30,000 competing pages indexed on Google.
These "tentacle sites" will support your BKS site, and you can draw arrows from these sites to your main site, indicating traffic flow toward your BKS from these feeder sites--just as I've done on the blueprint.
Now, for the final step.
Step 3. Create a website or blog for each of the "tentacle sites". These tentacles sites are tentacles of the BKS, and they are reaching out from the main site and pulling traffic into it.
In our example here, you would create three websites that point to main BKS website.
You'd register one domain name for each of the tentacle sites.
So, you'd try to register "how to get slimmer thigh" or some variant of that. You may need to register "how-to-get-slimmer-thighs.com" using hypens, or "HowToGetSlimmerThighsTips.com"--but get the keyword into the domain name. Once you've done that, you can add content to each site, in the form of 350-500 word articles.
You can use article marketing to promote your website, and you should submit your articles to services like Pingoat, Digg, Stumble Upon and other Social Media services--doing this will help you get noticed and indexed by Google.
You may also wish to post comments on blogs related to your Tentacle sites (or pay someone to do this for you), with a link back to your BKS site.
Hint: you can also create Squidoo lenses, Hubpages or other web 2.0 sites to drive traffic to your main site. In my example, I am either making my own site with website building softward, or using a Wordpress platform (free), directed to a domain name I own and have hosted for me with a hosting service.

Doing the Math.
If you build this properly (and it may take a few months to really build out your network of Tentacles), you will get some of your sites ranked in the top positions with Google.
For illustrative purposes, if you have five tentacles placed in the top 1-3 positions on Google, and you are getting 150-200 visitors to those sites per day, you would have approximately 750-1,000 visitors, in total, to your tentacle sites (5x150 to 200 daily visitors).
If you are driving those visitors to your BKS, via links or special offers placed prominantly on your tentacle sites, at least 50 % of your visitors can be expected to follow over to your BKS. Maybe even more. If you offer a compelling reason to go to the BKS you should be able to sell something to one out of every 200 customers, assuming "bad numbers". A site that converts well may convert 3-5 times this amount.
So, you could anticipate making two-five sales per day on your BKS site. If you sold an average ticket of $30.00, you could pull $60-$150 per day from my Tentacle System. Not too shabby, considering it cost you exactly zero ad dollars to do this!
If what I say above holds true, your revenue from this one "network" would be in the $22,000-$55,000 per year.
Granted, these are loose numbers, and you might do much better than this, with a continuity supplement program (with recurring monthly revenue), or you may do much worse than this--especially if you don't give it a try!
Wrap up.
What I have outlined for you, in my Tentacle System is a way for you to capture a small portion of a large, highly-competitive market, without enduring the crushing expense of PPC or paid-traffic advertising. You could, for all intents and purposes, do what I have outlined here for no cost.
So go ahead and take the next step. Come up with your own Tentacle network. Once you get one going, start another and another. Your financial independence could be waiting for you, and this blueprint can help you map out a path to achieving your goals.
I wish you abundant success!
